Wolverine is the alias used by the mutant James Howlett; better known as Logan to the people closest to him, such as the X-Men. Although Canadian by birth, Logan spent a good portion of his early years in feudal Japan training as a samurai mercenary and then later as a soldier of fortune for the Allies in both World Wars; relying on his skills as a warrior as well as his regenerative healing factor and heightened senses to keep him alive and contribute to the war efforts.
Ultimately returning to his home country, he participated in the Weapon X Project where he received his trademark Adamantium skeleton but also lost a good portion of his memories due to the trauma of the procedure. Over the course of his life in the modern day, he’s had encounters with both CyberForce and Sara Pezzini - the latter of whom he was betrothed to while bother were under the influence of hypnosis.
Biography[]
Wolverine has teamed up with Ballistic, Sara Pezzini. He was also once married to Sara Pezzini. He has fought Jackie Estacado and his grandfather Roberto Estacado.
Attributes[]
Powers[]
- Accelerated Regenerative Healing: Logan’s predominant mutation is an advanced healing factor; allowing him to recover from even the most grievous of injuries and superficial physical traumas in a matter of minutes or even seconds depending on the severity of the damage. This also has the effect of turbo-charging his immune system; making him resistant to any known form of poison or disease. Even non-bacterial illnesses such as Alzheimer’s, arthritis, liver disease, and cancer haven’t manifested within him despite his age and hygiene (being a notorious drinker and cigar chain-smoker).
- Prolonged Longevity: As a byproduct of his healing ability, Logan enjoys - and endures - a lifespan that extends well into the hundreds (potentially, even thousands) of years; maintaining the appearance and fitness of a man in his prime despite being well over a century old.
- Enhanced Senses: Logan’s ranged senses of sight, hearing, and smell are animal-keen; comparable to both a bloodhound and a bird of prey in their potency. This makes Logan an excellent tracker; able to hunt someone for miles by scent alone and even hear whispered conversations from over a yard away or more.
- Heightened Reflexes: Similar to his healing ability, and further complimented by his animalistic senses, Logan’s reflexes and reaction time are accelerated well beyond human peak; being able to catch a speeding bullet between his fingers that was fired at him at short range.
- Retractable Bone Claws: Housed within both of his forearms, Logan possess three foot-long claws - each one smooth, thin, and permanently razor-sharp - which he can deploy and retract through muscle movement. Unlike traditional claws in the animal kingdom, which are composed predominantly of keratin, Logan’s claws - even before being suffused with Adamantium - were composed of a far denser form of bone strong enough to easily cut through human skeletons and even leave deep scars in solid stone, though not stronger metals such as steel.
Abilities[]
- Samurai Martial Skills:
- Skilled Brawler:
Limits[]
- Magnetism: Due to his Adamantium bone structure, Logan is vulnerable to magnetic fields; such as the magnetic pull of an MRI machine dialed up to full power, electromagnetic scrapyard cranes, or a mutant with powers of magnetism. These can be used to immobilize him, restrain him, or even puppeteer his body against his will in the latter instance if the mutant is particularly skilled.
Equipment[]
Armaments[]
- Adamantium Bone Structure: Through his involvement with the Weapon X Project, a black ops program orchestrated by the Canadian government to create super-soldiers for its military, Logan’s entire skeletal structure - with the exception of his teeth, but also including his claws - was infused at the molecular level with Adamantium; a lightweight space-borne alloy seemingly immune to corrosion and widely regarded as indestructible due to its melting point and breaking threshold being able to withstand all earthly temperatures and pressures just short of a direct thermonuclear explosion. This metallic enhancement has the added benefits of improving the effectiveness of his claws as they can now pierce metal with ease - with the exception of more Adamantium - and even cut through diamond with some effort.
- Limited Invulnerability: While his soft tissue remains vulnerable, the Adamantium within his bones makes Logan structurally indestructible to a significant degree; he can survive falls from any height, bullets cannot pierce his skull (with the exception of an Adamantium bullet), and being run over by a truck or other similar blunt force traumas have only superficial effects on him which he quickly recovers from due to his healing factor. It’s worth noting that his ligaments are still vulnerable and he can potentially be dismembered if those bonds are strained to the breaking point, but this scenario is unlikely due to the aforementioned factors, though not impossible.
